Motivation enhancement therapy: it’s a theory that works on the principle of systematic intervention approach of evoking change. It works through motivation and not through guiding the client and there main aim is to mobilize the clients own change resources.



Cognitive-behavioral therapy: it’s a kind of psychotherapy that emphasizes on self introspection .here the patient is made to understand on how he feels and what he does. It teaches that it is our thinking that causes us to feel and act the way we do. Therefore, if we are experiencing unwanted feelings and behaviors, it is important to identify the thinking that is causing the feelings / behaviors and to learn how to replace this thinking with thoughts that lead to more desirable reactions

12-step facilitation therapy: in the twelve steps facilitation theory the patient is made to understand the whole essence of alcoholism.
