Although proponents of alcohol might always tell about the good affects of moderate drinking but the fact is that drinking is harmful to the body . no wonder most alcohol sold in the market comes with a disclaimer that alcohol is injurious to health . no other food entity causes such wide spread damage as alcohol does. Increase in intolerance factor: a person who has been drinking on a regular basis becomes intolerant to people and things around him. The frequency of tantrums increases as the person becomes irritated with even petty things

Continuation of drinking even after physical problems: once a person become a regular drinker there are several physical malfunctioning that are bound to occur .however even though his continues apparent discomfort he still continues to drink .this is the most clear signal that the person is suffering from alcoholism

Alcohol withdrawal delirium: This is one of the most serious forms of alcohol related disorders and if not diagnosed early and treated properly it might lead to serious ramifications. normally these affects starts within 72 hours to one week of recession of chronic alcohol use. It is a very serious abnormality and has a 20% mortality rate.

 

Some of the symptoms of these alcohol withdrawal disorder are
• autonomic hyperactivity which is marked by excessive sweating
• Severe malfunctioning of the sensorium which results in disorientation and clouding of consciousness. 
• Visual distortions which leads to hallucinations at times.
• Varying levels of phsycological activity ranging from hyperexcitability to lethargy. 
• Delusions and agitated behaviour are commonly present.
